The last

Hey! Hey! Hey!

I have almost been three months at home now. And I have understood that living with parents is quit easy. They may sometimes be really annoying but they are paying the bills, they are making food, you can ask help or advice every time when you need it.

Yes, I was that kind of young person who wanted to go discover the world after high-school or go to study  abroad but not anymore. The reason why I don't want to go study abroad  is actually really simple... There are lots of good schools in Estonia, studying in your mother language is much easier and you are closer  to your family and friends. :)

I don't regret that I went to Czech Republic. I learned a lot of necessary things, like how to live in a dormitory  (you must consider with other students who live there),  how to use money properly, how to travel alone (Bohemian Switzerland, Pec pod Šnezkou, Romania, Prague) and lots of things that are difficult to put into words. And of course I met a lot of awesome people in Czech Republic, Romania and on the way to Romania and back.

One of the best things that happened  turning the three months I spent in Czech Republic.
I grew up, it is difficult  to understand but I feel that I'm older now. And I think it is good thing, because I' m ready to live by my own.

One of the craziest things that happened turning the three months I spent in Czech Republic.
The craziest thing I made in that time was for sure that I went to Romania by bus (alone). There  were so many things that could have gone wrong. And to be honest then yes, I was afraid about this trip but  it turns out to be one of the best decisions I have made. :)

One of the things I regret.
I regret that I didn't start  traveling in Czech at the beginning from my  staying in Czech. But I was hopping on my host who promised me some trips turnning my stay in Czech Republic.

One of the things that surprised me most
The biggest surprise was that, at the end, I started to understood czech.

My favorite places in Czech Republic.
There are actually three places I liked the most:
  1. Prague is really beautiful city. Every time I went there I felt really good. Those old houses, bridges, castles, churches.  Anyway, when you have a possibility to go to Prague, then go.

  2. Bohemian Switzerland is a powerful place, when you go there you feel how small and trifling you are next to the nature.

  3. And last but not least, Pec pod Sněžkou  is a grand place, when you go there then you look around yourself and you are probably amazed because of these mountains which are really amazing. :)

Some advice to Czechs (especially for young peoples).
You have a beautiful country, you have lots of hiking trails. Go and hike! Believe me, it is worth of the time. ( I understand  that you want to hold your first place in drinking beer but  trust me, there isn't any other nation, who would be able to drink so much beer as you drink, so take the time to go hiking. :D :D :D ).

And some safety advice. Please wear reflectors,  use seat belts and drive decently, thank you. :)

Like I said before then I don't regret going to Czech Republic, while  I learned a lot there.  I can't say that I won´t go abroad to practice or living in future.

The time I spent in Czech Republic was really good opportunity and time.

Thank you for everyone who supported me. :)
Lots of Love,
Helena.

Three days, two days, one day...at home

Three days until  going back to Estonia

So I have been here three months and it has gone really quickly. I don't now even how it is possible,  I feel like I arrived here yesterday.

Today we went to Prague, last time for this time. There was freezing cold but like always I really like spending time in Prague. As well we visited the Salvador Dali exposition, which was actually really interesting, I personally wasn't expecting anything so good or exciting. :)

But after that day I was really tired and went (almost) straight to bed when we went home.

Two days until going back to Estonia

Today we were presented presentation about Estonia and differences between Estonia and Czech Republic.  After that we were speaking with school headmaster and he wished us safety journey and good luck.

And at the evening here in dormitory they made surprise "party" for us. And we played as well one board game what called here "Activity" it is similar to "Alias", it was really fun evening.

One day until going back to Estonia

It was actually quit wistful day because all the time came up that "I'm leaving tomorrow" thought. And my last lesson in Czech Republic was English lesson with native speaker, he was and as well is the funniest teacher who I have ever known. "Oooo happy day" :) I think that was great lesson to end my staying in Czech Republic. And after that we went to Olga' s cabinet to get all the documents. When all documents were okay then we just talked about our staying in Czech Republic and a little bit what is going to hapend in future.
When I went back to dormitory I started packing (again it isn't my favorite thing to do but I survived). Funny thing about that, in Thursday  is cleaning day in dormitory and our room was totally messy and while dormitory employee was coming into our room she gave us one more garbage bag,  just laughed and as well she gave us good wishes and told "Na shledanou"  :) We ended the packing and cleaning after midnight. :) I went sleep for four hours but I think that was better than not at all went to sleep.

Going home

Now I'm at my sweet-sweet  home.
How was my journey back to Estonia?
It was great, everything went as planned. We started our journey at 6.30 a.m and we arrived to Estonia 16.45p.m. And then I went by  bus to Tartu, where my parents were waiting me. :D Then we went home, my dog was happy to see me but my cat was like" okay you are now here but I'm mad at you and  don't you leave me anymore :)". So that was my Friday. :D

It is really nice to be at home.

P.S That isn't my last post here, in future are coming some more posts. :)

Lots of love,
Helena

Do what you love.

Hey!

Only less than a week and  I'm going back to Estonia.

But what I was doing this week or weekend?
On Monday I discovered at school that there is  one poster where is  one poem in Estonian. It was quite interesting because I have been here almost 3 months and I see it now.
September 26 European Day of Languages

And this weekend I went hiking. On Friday I went to Pec pod Sněžkou, when I made there then there was snow...of course I was really happy. :D
On Saturday when I woke up then was really beautiful weather plus that view from my hotel window. So  I was staying at this hotel only one night and the check out as usually before 11.00 a.m. And there was problem because I was hopping that I can leave my suitcase to the hotel (I mean not in my room but somewhere) as long  I return from my hiking trip then I pick my suitcase up. But they told me that there won´t be any staff at daytime. So I found one shop, where seller agreed that I can leave my suitcase there but I must be back there before 15.00 p.m (he saved my day).
And then I started my journey. It was at beginning quit hard but when I was up on the mountain then the way back was of course easy, if I leave that part out that I again almost fell down (but the reason was this time that I was wearing running shoes and the road was icy and snowy). :D
I was back at Pec pod Sněžkou about 13.30 p.m. I went to one cafe to drink hot chocolate, what was really good. And then I went back to Štětí.  And I was very tired, when I arrive to my dormitory.

Lots of love,
Helena

Zoo and Christmas

Hey!

This week was a little bit different... in the middle of the week we went to the zoo. And it was really fun and interesting. By the way I even don't remember when was the last time I went to the zoo, I think it was before my 11 year birthday. :) But back to the Wednesday we started our journey about 9.15 a.m, when our train came.  When we arrived to Prague, then we went straight to the zoo because we didn't want to lose our important and very  valuable time. :)  Actually  I'm really proud of myself,  while I was  very good at moving in the traffic, I mean here that I found right metros, buses and trains by myself. :D

And after the zoo we went shopping.........every where here is Christmas, even the shopping center is decorated already (the lights), in front of the shopping center are little outlets where you can buy hot wine and other Christmas food's and drinks or at least those smell like Christmas.

Our weekend we spend at Karlovy Vary and I can say that was probably the best choice.  Karlovy Vary is very famous because of the hot springs (13 main springs and about 300 smaller springs) And these smaller springs are all over the city and people are drinking that water. I tasted as well that famous water... it wasn't good (that is my opinion) But there were lot of people who were drinking that water with cups. Karlovy Vary is very beautiful in the day time but more beautiful in the evening. I really enjoyed that time what I spent there. :)

Lots of love,
Helena. :)

Trust yourself!!! :D

Hey, hey!

As you all probably already know, then in weekdays don't happen here anything cool or exiting. Only thing this week was that we went photographing on Wednesday  and I must say we took some good photos. :D

On Saturday I went hiking...A L O N E  and actually it was pretty amazing. Of course I was afraid at the beginning of my journey, what all may happen there... when I miss my bus or train or like one person said to me, when you break your leg and it is all in all quit dangerous. Funny is that when I was thinking in the end of my journey that I may break my leg, then I almost fell down. :D :D :D

But why did I go there????? Answer for that is actually quit easy. I went there because when I got almost year ago know that I'm going to Czech Republic, then  that was  first place where I was thinking I want to go there for sure and nothing can  stop me. :) I must say that  my dream  to go there almost failed down. But when I was is Romania then I told to Kadri about that dream and she said: " You must go there, even when you must go alone." And she was right. One other reason why I went there was that I was talking one of my friend about hiking and he asked me "But why you don't go hiking anymore?" and I was answering something like I don't have time. But after that I was thinking I have time (at least now) and I'm in Czech Republic where are lot of possibilities for hiking.

Eventually I write as well a little bit about my day. My train leaved to Děčín 9.35 a.m and it arrived there about 10.30 a.m. But my bus to Hřensko left at 12.07 p.m so again a lot of waiting (but I'm good at this:)) Then I went straight to Pravčická brána and when I finally arrived there then even sun came out. :) :) :) And that feeling what I got there and what I get every time when I'm hiking is just amazing. I think  for that don't have even any words and only those knew that feeling who love hiking really much. I think I was there more than one hour and I was just looking and thinking how amazing here is. When I finally came down, then the time was quit late for another destination. And I just walked there. I made back to dormitory at about 21.00 p.m.
I can even say that, this day was my favorite day ,all that time that I have spent here in Czech Republic. :D :D

Lots of love,
Helena.
